My airport life brought me to a new destination: Marrakech, baby!

Im officially a wanderer this month. I jus got back from Paris yesterday and today I had to hop on a flight to Marrakech. I flew with a Portuguese charter company, TAP Airlines. The stewards on the flight have been more then kind to me. With a stopover in Portugal I found myself in 3,5 hours later in the North of Africa, Morocco.

After getting my luggage, I‘ve been picked up from the airport Menara in Marrakech by a driver that the hotel arranged for me. The driver introduced the kindness of the locals directly when I entered the car. He welcomed me with ‘’Salaam Madame’’ and we chatted for the whole ride (in approximately 10 min I arrived at hotel La Maison Arabe)! The hotel is located in a small side street in the Medina of Marrakech and is really close to the airport. As soon as I stepped into the reception of the hotel, I could immediately feel the atmosphere change. It felt exotic and serene, like in a fairy tale, the one where I am Yasmine!

The hotel staff handed me a welcome drink, a cocktail with flavors of ginger and mint. I was literally overwhelmed by their hospitality and service! The interior of this incredible hotel is filled with traditional Moroccan craftsmanship as in ‘’tadelakt’’ walls, chiseled plaster, cedar wood ceilings and a garden with fountains. The balcony in my room gives me a few over the rooftops of the oldest town of Marrakech.

Im so into discovering this beautiful city full of art, delicious food, culture and traditions. For me who is always short on time, I’ve packed for 3 days to shoot some incredible looks in the best sights of Marrakech to give you an excellent introduction of Morocco.

Tomorrow I will continue my journey and get lost in Marrakech! stay tuned…
